Gold Star Bullion Security Imports
Imports
Clearance inbound from any port, and the charges explained before they land on you.
What clearance involves
We clear inbound consignments at ports and airports worldwide and arrange onward delivery. Clearance is a documentary exercise: the authority is checking that what is declared matches what has arrived, and that the right duty and tax have been calculated.
What you must send us
| Air waybill or bill of lading | The carrier's document. Clearance cannot start without it. |
|---|---|
| Commercial invoice | Values, currency, terms of sale and the parties. |
| Packing list | Itemised, with weights and piece counts. |
| Certificates | Origin, licences or assay documents where the goods require them. |
Duty and VAT
Customs duty and import VAT are the importer's liability, calculated on the customs value and the commodity code. They are payable to the authority, not to us. We tell you the figure before it is paid, and we do not release goods against an unpaid charge because the authority will not let us.
Insurance
Cargo insurance is recommended on inbound movements as well as outbound, and it should cover the leg from the port to your door as well as the sea or air leg.
